On Friday 20th of May 2011, I went to the Grand Opening of Muji Grand Indonesia. I went there with my Nitya from Strawberry Giggles. The goods, the vibe, the enthusiasm was running high on that day. Let me tell you a little about Muji.
Muji began as a product brand of the supermarket chain The Seiyu, Ltd. in December 1980. In 1983 the first directly operated Muji store opened. The name Muji is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryōhin, translated as No Brand Quality Goods.
Muji opened their first store here in Indonesia on November 2009 which is located in Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta. A few months after that, they opened their second store at Paris Van Java, Bandung. And the latest store was opened on 20th May 2011 located in Grand Indonesia, Jakarta.
Looking at the varieties products of household appliances, apparel and stationeries, Muji present you nothing but the best quality of products with a very reasonable price. They put a high standard on quality of their products. A very earthy color of clothing, household appliances made out of wood and simplistic design applied on their products. It feels like you’re in Japan.

Overall the Grand Opening was great.. So excited to see Muji grow big in Indonesia.. I LOVE MUJI! :)
