I went to the Opening Party of the 7th Brightspot Market which is held from 24-27th November 2011 at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta. It's always been the event that is worth waiting for. You'll meet some cool people, products, brands and atmosphere. Like they say, Brightspot Market : A Curated Market of All Things Cool.

Local Brand Launching

Last Sunday, I went to the launching a new webstore called Local Brand at KOI Kemang. Why do they named it so? It's because the store consist of Indonesian local brands. It was so exciting seeing Indonesian local brand growth. It seems like there were so many creative minds in Indonesia being part of fashion.

Some of the products that I love and drool over.. (sorry for the blurry picture, I was in way back of the row. I was so late so that I couldn't get any good pictures of the show)

Nikicio Mixté Le Printemps 2012

I got very excited when Nina Nikicio send me a message that I was invited to her show. I always love Nikicio. Their collection is timeless and easy to mix and match. Nina always surprise people with every piece of every collection. They always have the 'oomph' factor in it. It's always been the collection that is worth waiting for.

This time, it's Mixté Le Printemps 2012. This collection was inspired by a Skater Girl, a very cool and laid back. You could really see that this collection was so edgy and fierce but effortless. The color, cut, lining, print was just gorgeous.

The bad thing is I was trying to record the fashion show using my phone and not taking any pictures of the show in order to get the better look. I was able to record them until the end of the show when I want to save them somehow my phone just got error and I couldn't save the video. I just got so disappointed. So, I could only give you the pictures from the collection's lookbook. :(

You must be thinking that it was snakeskin, right? No no no! You're so wrong! It's actually Norwegian knit scanned and printed onto silk.

I got so fascinated with that acrylic skate board with NIKICIO logo on it. I love it!

This is the most gorgeous piece from Mixté Le Printemps 2012, I think. The one and only piece. This is the piece where Nikicio collaborates with Kandura ceramics. Those porcelain beads made of bone china with transparent glaze for the outerwears and accesories, bold and beautiful.

Last Wednesday I went to Grand Indonesia with my brother to find some clothes from him.. My brother is a bit picky with his clothes.. He will wear his favorite t-shirt over and over again until my mom (and me) yells at him.. He is into science and everything.. His favorite t-shirt? The one with shark print on it.. :)

So here is my review about Kenny Rogger's Roasters

I like the atmosphere in this restaurant.. It's very comfy yet friendly.. On that time, the staff was apologizing to me when my food takes a longer more time to wait.. I don't even complain even once.. So I think they have been trained perfectly.. That's a great service..

When I got here, there were lots of peope.. It's because people are going to have their iftar (break fasting)..

A mouth-watering menus.. Yum!!

We both loves a great lemon tea, Kenny gives us that..

We have this muffin for our iftar.. Well my brother did, since I'm not fasting on that day.. It's chocolate muffin, with raisins inside.. Tasty!! Nice and moist.. I crave for more.. And by the way.. The have promo for this muffin.. If you order for a dozen muffin, you will only pay for half of dozen..

My brother ordered Chicken Pasta Meal.. That is chicken of your choice (thigh or breast) with spaghetti bolognese and side dish of your choice.. There are three types of sauce for your chicken, that is original mushroom, spicy barbecue, and black pepper sauce and he chose spicy barbecue.. Then you could choose lots of side dish to choose, this time he chose mashed potato with chicken gravy..

My choice?
I chose Arabian Chicken Meal.. I've been craving for Arabian and Middle Eastern food then when I found this meal on the menu without a doubt I ordered this menu.. It's arabian sauce chicken with briyani rice, a side dish and a muffin..

A really smooth silky mashed potato laced with buttery, creamy chicken gravy which kinda taste like chicken soup.. Really nice bolognese.. You can really taste the tomato but for my taste it needs more herbs maybe bay leaf..

I satisfied with this dish since I am craving for an Arabic taste.. The sauce was really spicy.. The taste of cloves, nut meg and black pepper were very dominant especially the cloves.. Briyani rice was very mild and the peanuts create some texture to the rice.. When you combined them together, it matches perfectly.. And the refreshing salad (my chose for side dish) makes them so perfect..

The best part of Kenny Rogger's Roasters? Man.. Those chicken were so tender.. As soon as you stick your fork through it, it falls off from the bone.. I don't really need a knife to separate the meat from the bone.. I only use the knife to cut the meat into small bites..

If you seek for American comfort food, you have to go to Kenny Roger's Roasters (KRR).. It will satisfy you.. Trust me!

I'm so excited for this post.. Curious much?

So, last Friday I got an invitation from Grand Indonesia Shopping Town to have dinner (break fasting) at Tairyo with other bloggers. This event is part of "Ramadhan Rhapsody" which is held by Grand Indonesia Shopping Town to embrace the Ramadhan spirit. This "Buka Bareng Blogger" was held in three different restaurant that is Tairyo, JunJan and Katsusei. And it's an honor for me to have a chance to attend the event in a really great all-you-can-eat-restaurant such as Tairyo which is the first host of the event.

Take a look at Tairyo's restaurant design. They have a really friendly atmosphere, a suitable place for family dining and also office gathering.

I find this thing a charm to the Teppan table, I like dragons. :D

Sweet sweet melon juice

For personal taste, I don't quite a fan for kolak in general, but this one quite nice although I only ate the sweet potato.. he he

First appetizer

Prawn salad

I like this salad so much. You could really taste the nut and sesame oil,and the freshness of the lemon juice mixed them all together with the iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and the prawn. Yummy! It makes my pallet ready for the next dish. A really good appetizer.

Next is Prawn Cutlet

Crunchy outside moist inside.. You'll taste a really tasty prawn and cheese mixture inside and the mayo complement them all..

There's a workshop on how to get a perfect slices of salmon sashimi.. In this picture you'll see how Chef Abel butcher this big Norwegian Salmon into these juicy slices of heaven. Every part of the salmon could be use into something tasty, head, fin, skin, roe, you name it. The best part of the salmon is its belly, also called Toro in Japanese. It's because they have lots of Omega 3 which is good for your health.

This salmon sashimi that Tairyo has was the best, they're fresh and juicy. Can you see the white lining on those slices of fish? That's the one that makes the sashimi so juicy.

Now let's move on to our Teppanyaki Table, Chef Angga is going to start cooking. First, I'll let you know a little about Chef Angga. He have worked as Teppanyaki chef for about 16 years.

He said : "I'd better be a Teppanyaki chef or I won't work at all"

As a starter, Tofu with caramelized onion, shitake mushroom and squash.

You know, when you cook meat with its bone they have a really tasty and flavorful taste, and this one has it.

Boiled Ox Tounge with Red Wine Sauce

Garlic Sauce Oyster

This is the best dish so far.. I love the freshness of the oyster.. You could really taste the fresh ocean.. I love this one so much, even the chef knows that.. He gave me two of them, while the others have one only.. *grin*

French Lamb Chop

I'm not quite a fan of lamb, but this one taste nice and juicy.

Sliced High Rib Beefsteak

Grilled Chicken Steak with Garlic Sauce

A nice succulent chicken with a simple sauce.. Yummo!

Fried Rice with Garlic

In Teppanyaki, you'll eat rice at the end of the meal.. Why? I don't know why.. It's just the way it is supposed to be.. What unique culture!

I realized there's a different aroma when you cook freid rice with Teppan or Wok.. Teppan has a mild flavour and Wok has a strong one.. You could really taste the burned when you cook fried rice with Wok.. I like the teppan version better.. The rice could really soak up the seasoning.. And chef Angga has a twist on it, he put sliced chili in it.. Yummm!!!!!!

Last but not least...

Great Fishing Gold Steak

This one is so juicy.. I like this one..

In the mean time, while we rested our tummy to be ready for the dessert, there's a game which is held by Tairyo.. It's a sushi making game.. I took part in this game.. But unfortunately I don't have a picture of me while making the sushi.. Although I lose at this game, I had so much fun and get a voucher worth Rp 100.000,-! Now I know how hard it is making sushi, you have to be skillful in order to produce a perfect sushi..

This one is made from heaven.. Crispy crunchy banana with vanilla ice cream and ground cinnamon.. SUPER DUPER in LOVE with this dessert.. I could eat hundreds portion of this.. Ha ha..

And I think it was GOOD! Although I didn't quite get the thrill of the fighting part, it was still a really great movie.. I'd like to watch them again.. I love it.. :D

I think Manhattan Fish Market has the best fish and chips in town. I love this dory fish and chips so much.. The fish just melt in your mouth and crispy batter on the outside.. The chips have a really great texture to it and tasty.. One of my comfort food..

Today I accompany my sister to find her Biology book to the Gramedia. Then we went to Grand Indonesia to find another Muji pencil case because the one that I have before got hit by my basketball ball and then cracked. But unfortunately they currently ran out of those pencil case. Huhuhu.. :'(

So then we went to Kamikaze Karage to find something to eat. I love their shisito tempura so so much and I could eat maybe 100 of them. :)

I decided to wear something simple today. So I wore this boyish outfit then I added girly bag and red lipstick to look a bit androgynous. It's so easy breezy. :D

This is the shisito tempura that I love the most. It's green chilli that stuffed with mozzarella cheese and then fried with tempura batter. It's not hot at all for my taste, but so yummy. You should try this one!

This one is karaage with kamikaze (their hottest) sauce with gyoza and shisito as the side dish. The karaage was nice and crunchy. The gyoza was nice but I think they need to pan-seared a bit more to get that smokey flavour.

This one is mixed chicken karaage with beef yakiniku and kakitama soup with tofu furai as side dish. Their tofu furai was great, they got lots of filling and you can really taste the shitake mushroom there. I love it!

And by the way they have 5 types of sauce for your tebasaki or karaage. That is teriyaki (the original quintessential Japanese taste), kaffir lime shoyu (refreshing citrus tang), koru kosho (savor spicy black pepper), banzai (a little spicy) and kamikaze (the hottest sauce). I could nailed the kamikaze sauce, maybe I need an extra extra kamikaze sauce. Yeah.. I love spicy food..

It's Family tiiimmmmeeeeee!!!!!! We went to Senayan City to buy some shoes for my brother. My father ended buying a pair shoes too. And for me, I got a bag and 2 belts. It's like crazy. I've bought 3 bags, 3 belts, a pair of shoes, a hat and some clothes. I'm like a shopaholic. I should stop doing this or I'll be broke. Gosh!

It's always fun being with my family.. We laugh, share stories, eat and shop together. I love my family, the most precious thing in this world.

I got a really exciting news..
Sooo.. I got a chance to taste some of the Call-Roll Factory's new dessert menu.. Yummo!!
Here it is..

Their sushi rolls menu was placed attractively on their wall, if I'm not mistaken there's 103 types of rolls. Marvelous isn't it?

I love their furniture!

This dessert got strawberry and cherry which have been cooked (boiled) with sugar and water in low heat so they released their own syrup, chocolate ice cream, tanuki (shredded tempura batter), vanila ice cream, chocolate syrup, tobiko (flying fish roe) and cherry on top. The combination may sounds weird especially with the tanuki and tobiko, but when you taste it, they worked. You could find a different tastes, textures and flavour there. A really nice dessert.

This one has also the same ingredient but they don't use chocolate ice cream. And instead of using chocolate syrup, they use blueberry one. I like them both, but I love the first one more. Hehe. And I also got a chance to named them, isn't that great?? I named them Selly's Delight. Hahahaha.

I also taste their fabolous rolls. They're super nice!

I thought the spicy scallop going to zing my tongue, but it's not. The cucumber and ponzu sauce makes them so fresh. A really nice dish for summer.

Finish them up with a nice Lemon Tea, which I love.

Btw, I went to Topshop's Picnic Party (Grand Opening Topshop Central Park) on Saturday. The weather was so nice, a perfect one for the party. Congratulations Topshop for the new store at Central Park Mall!!!!! :)

Salmon, Cheese and Mayo

Hello there guys...

A few days ago I went to a place called "Rumah Sushi" (Sushi House). Yup.. They sell sushi.. You could probably know that from the name of this place.. I kinda find it very interesting.. :D

Miso Soup (5k)
This is a very light yet delicious soup with tons of tofu in it.. They really are generous with the tofu, because at some place they serve a little amount of tofu. Yaayy!!

Tomodachi Roll (22k)
(Kani with melting cheese, deep fried with tempura batter)
I like this roll. The cheese just melt in your mouth, but the kani just disappear maybe they should put a bigger chunk of kani inside it so you could taste the kani. Overall this roll is really nice.

White Angel Roll (42k)
(Ebi Tempura, Kani, Calamari Ring, Onion Ring, Purple Cabbage Salad, White Sesame Seeds with Medium Spicy Mayo)
It's one of their best roll. You could find so many texture in this dish. Crunchiness of the ebi tempura and calamari ring, spicy mayo and soft rice pop up in your mouth.

Red Demon Roll (45k)
(Ebi Tempura, Kani, Fresh Salmon, Togarashi, Crispy Shred and Extra Spicy Mayo)
This one is the Best, I think. My brother always said "The salmon just melt in your mouth" over and over again until they were all finished. He loves this roll and so do I. I found the mayo just not as hot as I imagined. But I truly love this roll so much. My favorite so far! :)

On Friday 20^th of May 2011, I went to the Grand Opening of Muji Grand Indonesia. I went there with my Nitya from Strawberry Giggles. The goods, the vibe, the enthusiasm was running high on that day. Let me tell you a little about Muji.

Muji began as a product brand of the supermarket chain The Seiyu, Ltd. in December 1980. In 1983 the first directly operated Muji store opened. The name Muji is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryōhin, translated as No Brand Quality Goods.

Muji opened their first store here in Indonesia on November 2009 which is located in Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta. A few months after that, they opened their second store at Paris Van Java, Bandung. And the latest store was opened on 20^th May 2011 located in Grand Indonesia, Jakarta.

Looking at the varieties products of household appliances, apparel and stationeries, Muji present you nothing but the best quality of products with a very reasonable price. They put a high standard on quality of their products. A very earthy color of clothing, household appliances made out of wood and simplistic design applied on their products. It feels like you’re in Japan.

I love Yoshinoya.. Their thin slices of meat were so tasty and yummy.. You could taste the seasoning really seep to the meat.. Me want another bowl! :p

Went out for dinner at Magnum Cafe with Adit and Kiki.. And then met Rissa and Rein at Leko..

A rather fascinating experience having dinner at Magnum Cafe.. The called their customer with "My Lord (male) or My Lady (female) instead of Sir or Ma'am.. As you all might have known, magnum is an ice cream.. So you might guess that they only serve dessert or cold dish.. If you guess so, then you're so wrong.. They serve variety food from appetizer to main course and of course dessert.. A few of their appetizer and main course are using magnum.. Curious much? Just come to Magnum Cafe which is only open for 3 months until this Mei 2010.. Enjoy! :)

It's been a while since my last post.. I'm so sorry.. I've been a very very very very very bad blogger.. It's just my life's been so hectic.. There are times when I was just too tired to post anything..

Anyway.. I went to Shabu Slim at Central Park Mall a few days ago with Carissa and Rein.. They serve shabu-shabu and sushi in a sushi bar.. You can choose 3 different taste of soup and 3 different taste of sauce.. They also serve ice cream and fruits for dessert.. I like this place.. :)

I was invited to see the launching of the new store of (X)SML at Plaza Senayan Jakarta. The concept of the store was interesting and fun! There were a lot games held that day but I couldn't see them because I was quite late..

I love the way they show the accessories, maybe this could be a DIY project one day

I don't quite like a clean poridge without a sweet sauce on it.. But after I ate this.. I changed my mind.. It was so tasty.. You will have some fish,chicken, and prawn at the bottom of the porridge.. Maybe that's they called it 'Bubur Tiga Rasa'

I love this dish! The crunch-ness of the shrimp was so nice. The shrimp was so fresh and chewy. And what makes it even perfect is the salted eggs, they matched perfectly. I L-O-V-E IT!

Kacang Panjang Bawang Putih

(Long Bean with Garlic Sauce)

Not quite a fan of this dish. The sauce was nice but the bean was too overcooked.

Today.. I went to Senayan City with my best friend, Rissa.. Just hanging out and share things out.. Then we grabbed the new Magnum Ice Cream which being promoted that day.. I got one for free.. lol
I love this ice cream.. The chocolate was just so nice and crispy (may I say this for an ice cream? haha.. whatever).. I love the almond one I think it's tastier than the classic one.. Yup.. I ate two ice cream..lol
